Bodhi Learning Center
At Bodhi Learning Center, we offer individualized interventions to help children and young adults with dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and learning disabilities develop their literacy skills. We provide structured literacy interventions which are supported by current research in the science of reading for neurodivergent individuals. Interventions are provided by a board-certified speech-language pathologist, who also targets oral expressive, receptive, and social language skills, in addition to reading. A speech-pathologist will begin intervention by working on phonological awareness, decoding skills, reading fluency, and spelling accuracy – similar to other reading programs for individuals with dyslexia. After a foundation for literacy has been established, the SLP will target vocabulary, reading comprehension, narrative skills, written expression, self-advocacy, and social communication. The goal of our literacy program is to lay a strong foundation for the language, literacy, & self-advocacy skills that are essential for success in higher education and future careers!
Although our language & literacy program is vital for children with dyslexia and learning challenges, it benefits all children that need extra help with reading and writing.
