Katiyana Jones, B.A., SLPA, Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
I’m a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Mississippi. Originally from Olive Branch, Mississippi, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Southern Mississippi.
With over ten years of experience working with children in diverse environments—including therapeutic, educational, and everyday settings. I’ve developed a passion for helping kids apply what they learn to real life situations. For nearly two years, I’ve been teaching at NGP as a lead teacher for lower elementary and middle school, while also supporting students’ speech and language growth.
I believe that academic education is the building block for a strong foundation, but for children to learn effectively, they need to connect with what they are learning and who they are learning with. Creating meaningful connections helps students feel supported and engaged, which fosters confidence and deeper understanding. My goal is to provide an environment where children can grow academically, socially, and personally, building skills that will help them throughout life.
